“Does Sonoff work with Home Assistant?”
Often, yes—but that question hides an important detail.
Sonoff has products using several different technologies. There isn’t one universal connection method that describes every Sonoff product.

The automation isn’t “Sonoff automation.”
It’s a Home Assistant automation in which a Sonoff device performs one particular job.

Exact model — not merely the product family.
