This sensor consists of two parts: a main sensor body and a magnetic contact, which are mounted on the door/window and its frame. When the magnetic field is broken—i.e., the door or window opens—the sensor sends a 433MHz RF signal to the RF Bridge, which then triggers actions or notifications in the app.
Users can create smart scenes such as turning on lights when a door opens or sending a live feed from a Sonoff IP camera. The DW2-RF is compatible with other Sonoff RF devices and supports EV1527 encoding, making it suitable for integration with various RF-based setups.
Installation is simple with peel-and-stick adhesive, and the sensor includes a battery level indicator to alert users when the MN27A 12V battery needs replacement. It’s ideal for homes, offices, and rental properties where Wi-Fi or Zigbee coverage may be limited.
